And yet, a chosen few succeed...and succeed BIG.
Ever notice they never taught you HOW TO SUCCEED in school?
After working in the industry for 30 years and counting, I’ve learned that SUCCEEDING AS AN ARTIST, or in any other profession, isn’t the result of a sudden, lucky event, nor is it a grueling, unattainable feat. For me, it’s been a PROCESS...years of persevering, following my gut, making mistakes, growing in my craft, evolving as a person...and finally developing a system of winning ACTIONS and MINDSETS that have led to my uninterrupted SUCCESS and joy in filmmaking, and in life.
I would never claim to have all of the answers. I, too am on an ongoing journey to attain even higher levels of success, abundance and JOY. Like many of you, I’m a true hedonist...I WANT IT ALL! And yet, after many happy years of as a Producer, Showrunner and Network Executive, I am extremely grateful for my present life.

For many years, I’ve been asked to speak at workshops, panels and seminars and I started to notice that my students and audience members were up to their ears in fundamentals and process. And yet, their unspoken question was...HOW DO I SUCCEED? They were literally terrified they’d have to trade in the DREAM for the ordinary. That they’d fail.
And so, from my own front row seat as an Executive Producer, I began observing the industry, and fellow filmmakers, and studying success experts from a variety of fields, to figure out the WHY and the HOW of succeeding in the most competitive industry on the planet. AND -- bonus points -- being HAPPY while on the journey.
After taking my own inventory and literally consuming EVERY book, youtube video and Instagram post I could get my hands on (and I still do!) -- I stopped speaking about filmmaking fundamentals, and started sharing the habits, beliefs and actions that prevent filmmakers from SABOTAGING their chances at success...and the ones that can FUEL their wins.
I call this collection of teachings: THE SUCCESS CODE.
